Introduction

Sequins (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built the Sequins Pilates Class Timer app as a free app. This page informs you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

Information we collect

  • Account information: email address and name when you create an account.
  • Usage data: workouts, exercises, and app settings you create.
  • Workout activity: a log of the workouts you play — which workout and its exercises, when you started and finished, and whether you completed it.
  • Analytics: anonymized usage events to improve the app (via PostHog).
  • Crash reports: anonymized crash data (via Firebase Crashlytics).

How we use your information

  • To provide and sync your workout data across devices.
  • To understand how the app is used so we can improve workouts and features.
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs.
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data storage

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to secure cloud servers (Google Firebase) when you're signed in.

Third-party services

We use the following third parties to run the service. Each is bound by contract to process your data only as needed to provide their service to Sequins:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email), Firestore (cloud sync of your workouts), and Crashlytics (crash reporting).
  • Sign in with Apple — when you choose to sign in with Apple, your Apple ID is exchanged with our servers via Apple's OAuth flow. No health, contacts, or other Apple ID data is ever received.
  • PostHog — anonymized product analytics.

Data retention

  • Account, workout & activity data: retained while your account is active; permanently removed when you request deletion.
  • On-device data: kept until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
  • Analytics & crash data: anonymized, tied only to an anonymous identifier (not your name or email), retained per PostHog's and Firebase's standard policies.

Data deletion & your rights

  • Delete from within the app. You can delete your account, and every workout, folder, and setting it contains, from the app at Settings → Delete account. The action is irreversible. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Sequins' access token via Apple's revocation endpoint at that time.
  • Delete by email. You can also request deletion by emailing yankikahn@gmail.com from (or including) your account email. We permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data within 30 days of an email request.
  • To remove locally-stored data, uninstall the app or clear its storage in device settings.
  • You may request a copy of the personal data we hold at the same address.
  • Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
